Are you a Strong Woman

Who loves Pinterest?!?!  I could spend hours upon hours scrolling through Pinterest.  I find inspiration for my home, kids, trips, and clothes of course!   If I’m going to be honest though, the past year I have found myself reading hundreds of inspirational quotes.  You know, those quotes that make you feel like you could run a marathon tomorrow or the ones that give you the confidence to start your own business!  😊  If it was only that easy….

Then you come across a quote that says, “You can always tell who the strong women are.  They are the ones you see building one another up instead of tearing each other down.” Or “Every woman’s success should be an inspiration to another.  We’re strongest when we cheer each other on.”

If I would have come across these quotes 2 years ago, I honestly would have looked past them and not even taken the time to read them.  It’s not that I didn’t agree or that I don’t believe them, but it wasn’t something that caught my attention.  To my defense, at that point I was still trying to keep my head afloat with twin 3-year-olds running around, and a 6-year-old and 10-year-old.  I didn’t take time to read anything unless it was on the back of a medicine bottle!   It wasn’t until I started my online boutique that I realized the true meaning and inspiration these quotes represented.  I have officially entered a world that women truly run, The Boutique World! 

The Boutique World is full of thousands of women all trying to accomplish the same thing.  At first, this was very intimidating, but I soon realized that they were the ones that were going to help me succeed in this world! 

Today is a prime example of Women building one another up!  Hillary Stout, owner of Hometown Gypsy Boutique and Treat U Boutique are coming together to showcase our stock show styles for you!  We realized that by coming together and collaborating our clothing, we can provide so many more style options for our customers. 

Hillary has been my lifesaver!  She was the one who reached out to me to congratulate me and wish me luck.  She was the one who sent me helpful information because she knew how much I would benefit from it.  Then it was me who kept messaging her with question after question!!! 

Today’s message isn’t about our Boutiques though, it’s about believing in each other and encouraging each other.  I am a firm believer in the old saying, “treat others as you would want to be treated.”  I will forever be grateful for Hillary and the knowledge she has passed down to me.  I hope someday I can be just as helpful for someone else as Hillary has been for me. 

So, for all you women out there, I encourage you to be inspired by your fellow women and to clap for them because one day you will need applause too!  I am proud to say that I haven’t gotten where I am today because I did it all on my own.  I got where I am today because my family, friends and fellow colleagues believed in me and gave me the tools I needed to succeed.  

I am going to leave you all with one last quote…. “Surround yourself with people who get it.”  Trust me, you will go so much further in life!
